Cutting stock optimization for those that build.

High-yield 1D linear cutting and 2D sheet nesting for woodworkers, metal fabricators, aluminium frame builders, and CNC operators. Packs the stock in your racks to the blade kerf and numbers every cut in saw order.

Free up to 15 part lines · No account or card needed.

How it works

Four steps that match how a real shop runs—from the stock rack to the saw fence.

  1. 1INV

Log what is in your racks

Every plank, sheet, dowel, bar, tube and profile, with its size, quantity and price. Paste rows from a spreadsheet, import a CSV or type them in: Enter moves down the column, like a ledger.

    • Nine stock classes across woodwork, metalwork and frame profiles
    • Materials coloured by family: softwood, hardwood, panel, ferrous, non-ferrous
    • Every change can be undone
  2. 2PRJ

    List the parts

A project holds one job, even when it mixes materials: the oak top, the ply carcass and the aluminium base of a sideboard live in one list.

    • Folders for jobs and clients
    • Mitred ends and angles on linear parts
    • The whole library exports to one file for backup
  3. 31D · 2D

    Solve against what you have

Opifico picks which stock to cut and where each part goes, with the kerf between every cut. Sheets come back as layouts a panel or table saw can follow, rips first; bars come back with every cut numbered.

    • Kerf, edge trims, edge banding and grain direction
    • A limit on recut stages, for the saw you have
    • Usable offcuts go back into stock in one step
  4. 4

    Cut at the saw

Open the plan on your phone. Drawings turn to fill the screen, you tick off each cut as you make it, and the screen stays awake.

    • Add stock one-handed with steppers
    • Print part labels on thermal rolls or A4

2D · Sheet nesting

Every sheet, planned to the kerf. Every cut, at the saw.

Parts are lettered, cuts are numbered in saw order with the fence setting for each, and the job is costed for the saw: cut length, blade cycles, run time and scrap. On the phone you tick off each cut as you go.

Three solvers, one stock ledger

Bars, planks and profiles go to the linear solver, sheets to the nesting solver, and a whole project to both at once. All three cut from the same stock.

  • 1D

    Linear cutting

Planks, dowels, flat and round bar, square and round tube, and T-slot profiles.

Packs lengths into the fewest bars, flipping angled parts so matching miters share a single angled cut—with exact blade-tilt kerf geometry.

  • 2D

    Sheet nesting

    Sheet goods and sheet metal.

Edge-to-edge rip-and-crosscut layouts your panel or table saw can follow, or free-form rectangular nesting with kerf spacing for CNC routers, lasers, and plasma tables.

  • ALL

    Project solver

    Whole projects that mix materials.

Splits the project by material and size, sends each group to the right solver, and hands back one plan and one report.

1D · Frame profiles

A whole frame from the fewest bars.

This machine frame has 120 parts in 3 aluminium profiles. Paste its cut list into a project: Opifico sorts the parts by profile, lays them out on your 6 m bars with the saw kerf between them, and numbers every cut. Mitred ends work too.

120 parts · 120 cuts · 16 bars of 6 m · 91.6% yield

Supplier stock · Best fit from supplier

Nothing in stock? Start from what your supplier sells.

Enter the bars, boards and sheets your timber yard, metal stockist or profile supplier sells, with their prices, and Opifico works out what to buy and how many of each. Turn on Cheapest stock mix, a Pro option, and it finds the combination that gets you every part for the least money.

From stock to saw in one minute

Two wall cabinets nested on one sheet of birch ply, a storage rack cut from pine studs, the plan on a phone at the saw, then the same job asked of your AI assistant. Real solver output from start to finish, silent for the shop floor.

A plan only helps where the cutting happens. Print it, label the parts, or send it straight to the saw.

Pricing

Jobs up to 15 part lines in one material are free. Bigger jobs draw from a prepaid balance, with the exact price shown next to Solve before you click.

  • $0.10per material

    Linear cutting

Planks, dowels, bar, tube and T-slot profiles, cut to length with square or mitred ends.

A shed frame from one size of pine stud: $0.10.

  • $0.20per material, by part count

    Sheet nesting

Layouts that use the fewest sheets. The price depends on how many parts one material has.

A kitchen in three sheet materials of up to 50 parts each, so three solves: $0.60.

Per solve
Each material in each thickness or size is one solve: 18 mm and 12 mm birch ply count as two.
Pro options
Used when a solve includes: pro search, cutting priority, free-form nesting, cheapest stock mix. A solve with one is never free; linear cutting with one costs $0.30 per material, and sheet cutting adds $0.30 per material.
No surprises
The price shows before you solve, and if we can't find you a solution, you pay nothing.

What it can do for you

  • Check your stock. Ask what you have before you buy, in plain words.
  • Log a delivery. Paste a supplier's note or a spreadsheet and it adds the items to your stock.
  • Plan the cuts. It runs the same solver as the app and hands you the layout and the printable plan.
  • Keep your projects. It saves cut lists as projects and finds them again when you ask.
  • Check before you pay. It can tell you whether a job fits your stock before solving it.

Sign in first; it takes about a minute. Checking a job is free; solving is paid from your account balance.
