Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Operator”, “Fabricator”, or “you”) and Opifico (“Opifico”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Opifico web application, API endpoints, optimization solvers, export tools, and documentation available at opifico.com and associated subdomains (collectively, the “Service”).
1.0Service Definition & Computational Scope
1.1 Computational Capabilities: Opifico provides algorithmic optimization engines designed to resolve cutting stock problems (CSP) and bin-packing optimization challenges. Specifically, the Service provides:
- One-Dimensional (1D) Linear Stock Optimizer: Calculates minimum-waste cutting layouts for linear materials, including solid timber, dimensioned lumber, metal tubing, pipe, structural channel, conduit, and extruded profiles.
- Two-Dimensional (2D) Sheet Layout Optimizer: Calculates high-yield nesting arrangements and guillotine cutting sequences for rectangular sheet stock, including plywood, medium-density fibreboard (MDF), particle board, oriented strand board (OSB), melamine panels, composite sheet goods, sheet metal, plastics, and glass.
1.2 Algorithmic Architecture: The Service combines client-side heuristic engines with high-performance server-side linear programming (LP), mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), and constraint satisfaction algorithms powered by Google OR-Tools.
1.3 Local-First & Ephemeral Computational Execution: Workpiece inventories, project hierarchies, dimensional specifications, and application preferences reside locally on your device within browser localStorage. Server-side optimization requests transmitted via HTTPS to /api/solve or /api/solve2d are processed strictly ephemerally within volatile system RAM. Stock parameters, cut lists, and resulting layouts are never written to permanent disk storage, indexed, or shared with third parties.
2.0Pricing & Prepaid Balance
2.1 Payment Processing: All monetary transactions are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), an accredited PCI Service Provider Level 1. Opifico does not collect, transmit, or store raw credit card numbers or banking credentials.
Prepaid Balance Top-Ups
One prepaid US-dollar balance pays for solves in the web app and through Agent Mode. You pay in your local currency at checkout; the balance is kept in US dollars and never expires.

Solve Prices
Jobs of up to 15 part lines, 1 material group, and 5 stock sizes are free in the web app, 20 times a day. Other solves, and every Agent Mode solve, are charged per material (one material and thickness):
- 1D Linear Optimization: $0.10 per material, or $0.30 per material with a Pro option.
- 2D Sheet Optimization: Priced per material by its total number of pieces (a Pro option adds $0.30):
- Up to 50 pieces: $0.20
- Up to 250 pieces: $0.50
- Up to 1000 pieces: $1.00
- Up to 2500 pieces: $2.00
- Up to 5000 pieces: $3.50
- Up to 10000 pieces: $5.00
- Pro Options: pro search, cutting priority, free-form nesting, cheapest stock mix. A linear solve that uses one is charged the Pro price, a sheet solve that uses one is charged $0.30 extra, and no solve that uses one is free.
- Complimentary Endpoints: Pre-solve feasibility checks (
/api/agent/estimate), inventory queries, and cut sheet export downloads (PDF, DXF, CSV) are provided at $0.00 (Free).
3.0Solve Charges & Zero Deduction Guarantee
3.1 Up-Front Billing & Invariant Guarantee: The exact price is shown before every solve, and solves are charged up front after syntax validation and geometric feasibility prechecks. Jobs that are guaranteed to fail are rejected before any charge occurs.
The Zero Deduction Guarantee (Infeasible Runs, System Errors & Full Refunds)
If an optimization run cannot be completed due to solver infeasibility (no layout found), timeout, or system error, THE SOLVE IS REFUNDED IN FULL. The charge is immediately returned to your balance, or the consumed free daily solve is restored. You will never pay for a failed run.
This refund and non-deduction guarantee strictly covers:
- Precheck Rejection: Where pieces geometrically exceed stock length/sheet boundaries or inventory is strictly insufficient, requests are rejected prior to any charge.
- Solver Infeasibility: Where the solver exhausts search without converging on a complete layout.
- Timeouts & Aborts: Where solver engines reach execution deadlines without finding a layout.
- Server Exceptions: Unexpected 5xx errors or connection drops prior to complete solution delivery.
3.2 Partial 2D Layouts: In 2D sheet nesting, if the solver successfully arranges a subset of parts but available stock is insufficient to place all requested items, the solve is deemed successful and charged. The generated layout is returned along with a clear warning detailing which parts could not fit due to stock exhaustion.
3.3 Cache & Anti-Abuse Lockout: Resubmitting an identical job returns the cached result at zero additional charge. Repeated solve failures (5 failures within one hour) temporarily pause solving for up to one hour across the caller's identity and IP address to prevent denial-of-service abuse.
4.0Delivery, Cancellation & Refunds
4.1 Immediate Digital Performance: Optimization calculations and algorithmic outputs are digital services delivered electronically and immediately upon invocation. Once a valid cutting layout has been transmitted to your client, the digital computation is deemed fully performed and non-refundable.
4.2 Top-Ups Are Non-Refundable: Prepaid balance top-ups are not refunded, in whole or in part, except where the law of your country of residence requires it. Failed solves are refunded to your balance automatically under section 3.
Questions about a payment: email [email protected] with your payment receipt and the email or API key on the account. When a payment is refunded or disputed (chargeback), the balance it added is removed from the wallet, even if it was already used; the balance may then go negative and solving stays paused until it is topped back up.
5.0Developer / Agent Mode, API Access & Rate Limits
5.1 API Key Custody: Programmatic access requires an authorized API key (sk-wood-live-...). You are exclusively responsible for safeguarding your credentials. All solver executions or balance deductions initiated with your key will be deemed authorized by you.
5.2 Rate Limiting & Fair Use: Standard API keys are restricted to sixty (60) requests per minute (RPM) and a maximum concurrency limit of five (5) simultaneous solver instances. Exceeding rate limits triggers HTTP 429 (“Too Many Requests”) status codes.
5.3 Prohibited Activities: Reverse engineering algorithmic heuristics, automated UI scraping, denial-of-service attacks, and key syndication are strictly prohibited. Violations result in immediate key revocation and account termination without refund.
6.0100% User Data Ownership & Intellectual Property
6.1 100% User Ownership Guarantee: You retain complete, exclusive, and unencumbered intellectual property ownership, copyright, and title in all material inventories, part dimensions, cut lists, project hierarchies, assembly groupings, job notes, and output files created through the Service.
6.2 Generated Artifacts: All vector PDF cut sheets, DXF CAD layouts, and CSV panel saw manifests generated by Opifico are your sole proprietary property. Opifico asserts zero intellectual property rights, zero copyright claims, and zero licensing claims over your workpieces, cutting files, or manufactured physical goods.
6.3 Opifico Proprietary Rights: Opifico retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the user interface, brand assets (OpificoLogo, OpificoMark), styling systems, layout algorithms, client-side heuristics, and server-side optimization code.
